Our Crest & Its Meaning

The Crest has been in existence since 1956.  The reasons for choosing the different symbols are relevant today as they were then.    Knight – Symbol of protection of the unwary.  Horse Rampant – Jamaica rearing to go ahead. Cog wheel – Symbol of industry — Jamaica endeavouring to develop her industries.  Shield – Emblem of protection. Olive Leaves – Symbol of peace, pleasure and fair dealing. Plough – symbol of agriculture- Jamaica is an agricultural country.  Cross – Jamaica is at the crossroads of development.
